Oak Class Term 6:
Welcome back!
I hope you have had a fantastic half term. What incredible weather! Although, I did find myself saying "It's too hot" for the most part. Yes, I am one of those people, sorry!
Well done to the children for completing their SATS and CAT4 assessments. All went very well. The year 6's have been our best 'breakfast club customers' to date.
Term 6 is absolutely packed full of important dates, fun and wonderful learning opportunities. We will be learning about Rivers in our topic; Islam in RE; Scientists and Inventors in Science. PSHE this term is all about puberty, the changing body and RSE (relationship and sexual education). We will contact you accordingly to let you know what is to be taught and when in case there are any concerns raised during the unit.
Dates to remember:
Friday 5th June - Non Uniform in exchange for a bottle for the tombola.
Tuesday 9th June - Class photos (especially important for year 6. Please wear smart uniform and also bring in leavers hoodies in a bag).
Wednesday 10th June - School trip to Pfizer for Science Jamboree.
Mon 15th-17th June - PGL, YEAR 6 ONLY. Year 5 will be taught by Mrs Fidge, Mrs King and Mrs Flanagan for these 3 days.
Friday 19th June - Cricket schools day out. YEAR 6 only.
Friday 26th June - Non-uniform for any raffle prize donation.
Friday 26th June - Pool Party (6pm - all welcome. Tickets can be purchased from PTFA. More details to follow).
Saturday 27th June - Village fete. Maypole dancers to attend in school uniform please.
WB Monday 29th June - Year 6 transition days. Ask Miss Leitch if you are unsure when your child should be out of school to attend their new school.
Wednesday 1st July - School trip to the Marlowe to see Annie (2.30pm).
Friday 3rd July - School Summer Fete. More details to follow.
Monday 6th July - Colour Run
Monday 6th July - Evening Summer Soiree.
Tuesday 14th July - JAGTAG. Year 5 only.
Tuesday 14th July - Morning performance of Year 6 production.
Wednesday 15th July - Evening performance of Year 6 production.
Tuesday 21st July - Leavers service at 2pm. End of the summer term.
